Echoes of the Waves is a series of paintings inspired by the myths, legends, and local stories of Busan, reinterpreted through my own visual language.
Busan—my ever-changing hometown—has often felt unfamiliar and distant. Yet within the myths carried by the waves and the legends rooted in its mountains, I came to recognize the resilient spirit and quiet love that shape its people. These timeless stories hold universal values that remind us of the connections we share across borders.
This exhibition brings to life the forgotten tales of Busan, painted stroke by stroke on hanji. I invite you to rediscover the face of Busan and the threads of humanity that bind us.
